At the Teresa Noelle Knabe Memorial Foundation, our mission is to create a positive impact on the field of healthcare by promoting the values of empathy and care for the vulnerable. We achieve this primarily by assisting students who demonstrate a passion and drive for serving others with genuine care and concern. We hope that every person we are able to assist on their journey will create ripples of positive change through their careers, upholding the dignity of all human life, and making those they serve feel seen and loved.
The Teresa Noelle Knabe Memorial Foundation was founded in 2024 in order to honor the legacy of Teresa Knabe, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 18. Teresa had dreams and aspirations to serve others in the field of healthcare by becoming an ultrasound technician. We hope to use this foundation to create the same impact that we know Teresa would have made in the world, and especially in the healthcare field.
We offer scholarships for students who are pursuing education in healthcare. Please see the Scholarship page for more information!
Teresa Noelle Knabe was born on January 5th, 2006, the 8th of 10 children. Her nickname was "Twinkie," which comes from "Twinkle Toes" because of her love for dancing as a little girl. She was a girly-girl with a rough and tumble streak. She loved 80s music, the Green Bay Packers, her dogs, fishing, and spending time at her family's cabin. Teresa cherished time spent with her family, especially her many nieces and nephews.
Teresa passed away on July 2nd, 2024 from a seizure following her diagnosis of a seizure disorder several years prior. At only 18 years of age at the time of her passing, she had made an impact on the world well beyond her years. Her love of God, expressed through her Catholic Faith, was the animating force behind her life. Teresa was known for her great empathy and kindness, especially toward the most vulnerable and the suffering. She was generous and selfless and made sure the people around her felt seen and loved.
Teresa had dreams of becoming an ultrasound technician and providing ultrasounds for expectant mothers. We know that she would have touched the lives of her patients through her empathetic and joy-filled spirit, had that been God's plan for her. Our goal is to create ripples of change in the field of healthcare by promoting Teresa's core values and providing financial assistance for students pursuing healthcare education who emulate and share Teresa's values.
